FAQ
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. Your browser reads each PDF locally and keeps only its name, size, and page count in the on-page table. The files are not sent to CanDoYa or a third-party conversion service, which makes the counter suitable for contracts, applications, and other sensitive documents.
Is this PDF page counter free?
Yes. You can count pages, copy the results, and download a CSV without payment, an account, or a watermark. The tool has no daily task quota. Each PDF can be up to 100 MB, and available browser memory can set a lower practical limit on older devices.
How many PDFs can I count at once?
There is no fixed file-count limit. Files are read one at a time, and the table stores only lightweight metadata after each count. A very large batch can still make the page long or reach your browser's memory limits, so split unusually large folders into smaller groups if needed.
Does the page count include blank pages and covers?
Yes. The counter reports every page object in the PDF, including covers, blank inserts, scanned pages, and front matter. Printed labels do not change that structural total, so a cover followed by pages numbered 1 through 10 normally produces a count of 11.
Can it count pages in scanned PDFs?
Yes. A scan still has a normal PDF page structure, so text recognition is not required to count its pages. The result is the document's page total, not a count of sheets, images, words, or printed page numbers inside the scan.
Why can't it count a password-protected PDF?
An encrypted PDF must be opened with its password before its page tree can be read safely. Open the document in a PDF viewer, enter the password, and save or print an unlocked copy that you are permitted to use. Then add that copy to the counter.
What is included in the CSV export?
The CSV contains one row per successfully read PDF with its file name, exact size in bytes, and page count. You can open it in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or another spreadsheet app to sort, total, annotate, or share the document inventory.
